Boots on the Ground was written to fill in the gaps I had in my memory of what I went through between 1967 and 1969 when I was drafted into the Army after graduating from Santa Rosa JC. Everything written in my journal took place. A few events were fabricated to illustrate some of the typical activities we were involved in. I did this because I could not recall from my own memory some of the earlier events I went through. I am sure we all have those blank spots of the war. Each of us looks, remembers or recalls actions that took place in a different light. Some are more accurate than others. The biggest reason for assembling this journal was to give my sons some idea of what I experienced during that time of my life........
Footnote: I did not include the Glossary chapter since it is already in the website under TRIVIA
