Ken served as a rifleman from April until January, 1969. He was wounded in October and had a long recovery period. Eventually he transferred to the 18th MP Bde and was assigned to the 716th MP Battalion, Co C, 52nd Infantry Regiment based at MACV HQ in Saigon. The Company served as a rifle security force to bolster the infantry capabilities of the 716th MP Battalion providing security to U.S. Facilities in the Saigon area.He served out his time after he retuned to the U.S. at Ft Ord, CA, where he was promoted to Sergeant and served as an instructor for AIT Committee Grp.
